Transforming the Education + Talent Landscape in Baltimore
Interested in joining this groundbreaking collaboration?
CareerBound will build on our region’s already
robust talent landscape through five elemental touchpoints.
CareerBound Program Elements
In-School Youth Apprenticeships
These new in-school registered youth apprenticeships will expand on existing opportunities and connect Baltimore City Public Schools
students to high-quality career pathways. Tracks may include healthcare, construction, information technology,
advanced manufacturing, public safety, business, and finance.
Grads2Careers
Grads2Careers is our pathway for recent Baltimore City Public Schools graduates — who are not planning to enter college full-time within the next year — into career-track jobs through free occupational skills training in high-growth industries is being expanded and will reach more youth!
Academic Acceleration
This critical support will bring together our commitment to literacy through enhancing academic readiness, career exposure, and life skills development for rising 9ᵗʰ graders through 12ᵗʰ grade — and post graduation.
Alumni Track, Stackable Credentials
The alumni track, within Grads2Careers, allows program graduates in certain pathways to pursue additional post-secondary education and stackable credentials for increased wage potential.
Coordinated Resources
Coordinated resources connect participants in all CareerBound elements with community-based and social service partners offering the wraparound supports they need to thrive, including mental health, transportation, childcare, and more.
Once CareerBound is successfully implemented,
it is projected to serve over 8,000 youth by 2030.
