What is the community advisory board?
The 10-member board, which held its first meeting on March 1, 2024, is part of Baltimore’s Promise’s ongoing commitment to promoting equity and collaborative decision-making. The board will work closely with the Board of Directors to shape the organization’s priorities and initiatives, deepen its connections within the city’s neighborhoods, and better serve the needs of Baltimore's young residents.
What do they do?
Inaugural members will collaboratively establish the direction and priorities of the Community Advisory Board, focusing on engaging the community, advancing race equity and inclusion, and advocating for meaningful change.
Role responsibilities:
Two-year commitment
At least four meetings each year
One joint meeting with the Baltimore’s Promise Board of Directors
Co-chairs will also serve on the Board of Directors
