What was your first job, and what did it teach you about yourself?
My first job was as a waiter at a retirement home. This role taught me the importance of understanding the history behind every person.

Dom Reyes, a Baltimore native who believes that data and research can help foster community empowerment and development, is the Data Analyst for the Summer Funding Collaborative.
Prior to joining Baltimore’s Promise in 2024, Dom worked as an analyst for the Mayor’s Office of Performance and Innovation, where he helped create the first rendition of Baltimore City performance plans for more than 40 Baltimore City agencies.
Dom received his B.A. in Cognitive Science with concentrations in Neuroscience and Computational Approaches to Cognition from Johns Hopkins University. During his time there, he held various research positions, including a role at the Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, where he contributed to the development of a software tool for simulating neurodegenerative diseases.
Dom has also been wrestler since the age of seven, so he is always up for swapping wrestling stories and talking about the glory days on the mat.
